Weitere Angaben The International Social Science Council (ISSC) established in 1973 a Standing Committee for Cooperation with National Councils (SCCNC). In 1975, this Committee became an independent body with its own organizational membership and dues and was then called the Conference of National Social Science Councils and Analogous Bodies (CNSSC). In 1979, the Conference transformed itself into an international non-governmental organization that is independent of the ISSC and changed its name to the International Federation of Social Science Organizations (IFSSO).
