Dean, Minnie 1844-1895 / Williamina "Minnie" Dean (September 2, 1844 – August 12, 1895) was a New Zealander who was found guilty of infanticide and hanged. She was the only woman to receive the death penalty in New Zealand, although several others were sentenced to capital punishment, but had their sentences commuted to either life or long duration imprisonment.
