| Weitere Angaben | Valentina Pedone is an associate professor in the Department of Languages, Literature and Intercultural Studies at the University of Florence. From 2006 to 2010 she was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Urbino ‘Carlo Bo’ (Italy). She was granted tenure by the University of Florence, first as a lecturer in 2010, and then as an associate professor in 2015. She is the co-editor of the book series on Chinese and Japanese studies ‘Florientalia’ and director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Florence. Her research today focuses on cultural and artistic production by Chinese migrants living in Italy. She published a book titled A Journey to the West: Observations on the Chinese migration to Italy (Firenze University Press, 2013). |
