| Weitere Angaben | Jenson Joseph is an Associate professor at the Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communications, Pune. He has previously worked at the Department of Media and Communication in the Central University of Tamil Nadu. He did his PhD on Malayalam cinema of the 1950s from the University of Hyderabad. He has published in various journals including Bioscope and Positions Asia Critique and presented his work on Malayalam films and media in various seminars in India and abroad. His research interests are South Indian Cinema, Cinema and History, Malayalam Cinema, Television History, Cultural Studies etc. His current project aims to construct a cultural history of Asianet, one of the first satellite television channels targeting Malayali audience in the country as well as the scattered Malayali diaspora in various parts of the world. Visiting Manipal Centre for Humanities for the Moving Image Workshop, he speaks to Serene and Mrudula. |
