Weitere Angaben Rebecca Guenther has over 35 years of experience in national libraries, primarily working on information technology standards related to digital libraries. She started her career at the National Library of Medicine as a cataloger and later moved to the Library of Congress. Most of her professional life has been at the Library of Congress developing national and international standards related to metadata, including MARC, MODS, BIBFRAME, PREMIS, METS, and ISO language codes. She has served on numerous standards and implementation committees, several as chair, is widely published in professional literature, and has given many tutorials, workshops and presentations. She left the Library of Congress in July 2011 to move to New York. Since then she has worked remotely for the Library of Congress on the Bibliographic Framework Initiative, MODS, PREMIS,and LC's Linked Data Service. She is an adjunct professor in NYU's Moving Image Archiving and Preservation Program, where she teaches a class on Metadata for Moving Image Collections, and a visiting assistant professor at Pratt's School of Information and Library Science, where she teaches Metadata: Description and Access. Through her website - (meetyourdata.com) Rebecca Guenther Consulting - she provides services in managing information needs through the use of metadata. Services include metadata analysis and planning, training, preparation of technical documentation for implementations, assessing metadata needs for long term preservation of digital objects, repurposing metadata for Linked Data applications.
