Neuigkeiten Die Lesesäle für Geisteswissenschaften, Naturwissenschaften, der Alte Lesesaal Technik und der Anne-Frank-Shoah-Lesesaal in Leipzig schließen am 04.02.2026 wegen einer Veranstaltung bereits um 15 Uhr. Die weiteren Lesesäle sowie die Servicetheke sind zu den regulären Zeiten geöffnet. //
The humanities reading room, the natural science reading room, the old technology reading room and the reading room of the Anne-Frank-Shoah-Library will close at 15:00 on 4 February 2026 due to an event. The other reading rooms and the service desk will be open during regular hours.

Weitere Angaben She had been a student of International Cooperation and Development Economics and completed her MSc in Economics of International Cooperation and Development at Sapienza University in Rome, graduating with First Honours. She then undertook the MSc in Development Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. Marta started her PhD at King’s College London in September 2009. Her research focuses on the water question of the arid and semi-arid Middle East and North African region. The purpose of the research is to increase understanding of the role that virtual water ‘trade’ has silently played in underpinning the region’s water-for-food security over the next few decades. Marta is also currently working as a researcher in the EU FP7-WASSERMed project (Water Availability and Security in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean). She is a member of the London Water Research Group.
